Welcome to the official website of
Royal Crown Lodge No 3133
working in London since its consecration
on 4th December 1905
We are a Lodge of Freemasons working under the authority of the Metropolitan Grand Lodge of London (of which we are also a Founder Lodge) and the United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE).
Historically, we are a military lodge, founded in 1905 "for the benefit of officers holding or having held His Majesty's Commission in the Naval, Military or Auxiliary Forces of the Empire", and proud of its long history and many achievements. The name "Royal Crown" was chosen because of that ornament appearing on the uniforms of all officers.
We are a Hall Stone Lodge awarded its jewel in 1931 for the fundraising efforts and the active service of its members during 1914-1918, the years of 'the supreme sacrifice' as they became known in the masonic history. Within a month of the outbreak of the war, 20 out of 26 members of the lodge were on active service and four of them have sacrificed their lives for this country...
Our lodge is also a Grand Patron of the Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution and a Bronze Award Winner in the London Appeal of the R. M. Benevolent Institution.
We meet three times a year and also have an interesting social life. All visiting freemasons are always welcome to our Lodge meetings. All curious non-masons having questions about the freemasonry and whether it is right for them to join - are always welcome to contact us with their enquiries.
We hope you will enjoy browsing the pages of our website and will get to know us a little better.
